The most patient athlete

           In October, 20 1968 at Olympic Stadium of Mexico. The audience still waiting for the last marathon runner. Even the competition finished the sky had grown dark.


           For a wile, there was a tumultuous wail of siren from the police's car on the back there was a runner, ran though the darkness. His name is John Steven Akuwaree, he is from Tanzania.  The audience were surprise to see that his legs stained by the blood and full of plaster. He fell down so many times but he still continue running and try to finish it.


           However, he could run for 42.195 km. when he came to the stadium and run  limp around the stadium to complete the marathon.  All the audience's applaud was tumultuous. 
He fell down as soon as he touched the finish line. 

The news reporter came to interview him "why don't you leave the competition even you was injured?" He answered with his truthful even he hurt. "My country is very poor but they send me to join this competition and tell me that do not leave the competition and tell me that do not leave the competition even it will be hard to do"
           
           Therefore Akuwaree was a real marathon athlete.
